The second edition of the Technical Workshop on Geoenergy in Catalonia will be held online next 6th and 13rth of November. The Geothermal Working Group of the Cluster of Efficient Energy in Catalonia, of which GEO3BCN-CSIC is an active member; the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC) and the Catalan Institute of (ICAEN) are the organizers of this event.
The main objective of this workshop is to promote the potential of geothermal energy as a highly efficient energy in the context of the Energy Transition and climate change.
María José Jurado, researcher at GEO3BCN-CSIC, is one of the members of the organizing committee of this technical workshop that, this year, will be focused on the use of geothermal within the cities.
There are eight scheduled talks divided in two different sessions. These talks will showcase some examples of geothermal energy implementation in urban areas of Europe and Spain. Geothermal projects carried out in Stockholm, Munich, Olot or Madrid will be analyzed.
