Ha sido un mes de junio intenso en cuanto a actividades de divulgación realizadas por investigadores del ICTJA-CSIC se refiere.

Santiago Giralt y Dario Pedrazzi participaron en un nueva edición de la actividad "Viu les Ciències de la Terra" que organiza la Facultad de Ciencias de la Tierra de la UB. El curso  , que pretende mostrar  a los alumnos de 4º de la ESO y Bachillerato el trabajo que realizan los graduados en Geología y Ciencias del Mar, se celebró entre el 25 y el 27 de junio. Este año la organización había preparado un curso más abierto y práctico. Por ello, los participantes salieron de las aulas de la Facultad y visitaron el ICTJA el día 26 acompañados por Santi Giralt. El día 27 volvieron al Instituto para realizar el taller de vulcanología ofrecido por Darío Pedrazzi y Stefania Schamuells.

El día 5 de junio fue el turno de Armand Hernández que realizó una charla sobre la historia climática de la Tierra en el Instituto Ernest Lluch de Barcelona. Los alumnos de este centro de secundaria han colaborado con sus preguntas sobre el cambio climático en la elaboración del documental de carácter divulgativo " Climate Change: What the FAQ?" que impulsa el propio Hernández junto a otros investigadores que estudian este fenómeno climático. Está  previsto que este documental dirigido al público adolescente se estrene a finales de septiembre en el marco de la celebración del workshop del proyecto CLIMOVAR.

Finalmente, el pasado 11 de junio, Adelina Geyer visitó el centro de primaria Escola L'Alzina de Molins de Rei para realizar un taller sobre volcanes a los 26 alumnos de segundo del centro. Geyer volvía a encontrarse con los alumnos a quienes conoció en junio de 2016, cuando cursaban P4 (4-5 años). La visita sirvió profundizar en los conceptos explicados tres años antes y comprobar si los alumnos recordaban de alguna manera  aquella primera visita.
