Research Interests
My research line is focused on the application of active and passive seismic techniques to study lithospheric structure and dynamics, both at crustal and mantle levels. Some of the specific scientific topics I’ve been working on are:
- Seismic anisotropy from the analysis of SKS splitting.
- Use of Receiver Functions to investigate crustal structure.
- Processing and interpretation of seismic wide-angle profiles, both at crustal and lithospheric scales.
- Seismic noise analysis.
- Non-Volcanic tremors.
- Moderate magnitude seismic events.
- Application of vertical reflection processing methods to wide-angle data.
I’m also involved in outreach activities mainly addressed to high school students; Earthquake Workshops, Seminars and conferences, Participation in Science Fairs and events.
